Happy Birthday to me,

Happy Birthday to me...

What a way to start my official celebration with a gentle pootle along the track by the District tube line. Rowen did a run / walk, and I ran my normal pace - so we kept passing each other as we did laps back and forth along a 600m path. I counted 9 high fives as we did so (but may have missed a few, as thinking is getting harder).

The legs felt a little better then the last run, I think the shock of running in the dark again has settled, and I had a good stretch before hand.

Foot a bit sore again, so Ice pack back on. The skin on the tips of my fingers has also started peeling, presumably the combination of exposure and regular showers - who knew I'd be so delicate.

Hopefully I can get a good 2 hours sleep before doing it all again

Stats: 7.11 km, 45:50, 6:27 /km

Tshirt: I think I messed up on a previous post. This was my first Brighton Marathon shirt, which was the one where I broke down crying from the overwhelming feelings of the crowd and how far 26.2 miles really is. Can't be bothered to go back and correct the other one so you'll have to make up your own story of what that tshirt could have been.
